Hell yes! That was all I could say when I read this. Seriously, this is advice that needs to be given to women - women of all ages everywhere.
Word to the wise - for those who think it can't get worse, it can and often does.

ReplyDeleteHaving a fuck off fund applies to both men and women. The situation described in the post primarily applies to women since they are far more likely to be in that situation given how women are treated (still) in this world.
DeleteI will also add that most young women today may (like the author of the post) initially think it doesn't really apply to them or that they would behave the way the author thought she'd behave until real life happens and our actions often betray our thoughts and hopes. All the more reason for women (especially young women who are just starting out) to be prudent and establish this type of a fund.
DeleteThis isn't a sexist post. It is real life. Women are far more likely to find themselves in that situation than are men. Hopefully that will change in the future (on so many levels). Until then, protect yourself.
